Adios Estados Unidos, Hola Peru

Whoa it's been an emotionally and physically draining last few days. I got like two hours of sleep on Wednesday night, Conner and I basically cried ourselves to sleep. Thursday morning was saying goodbye to everyone at the Des Moines airport and it was so overwhelming because the airport was sooo packed I had to go through security pretty much as soon as I got there. Then we had our staging event all on Thursday where I met everyone in my training class. I'm still trying to learn everyone's names there are 46 of us! Friday was our travel day. When I got on the plane in DC they made me check my carryon bag because there was absolutely no room in the overhead bins (full flight) and I forgot to take out my passport so when I got to Miami and realized I couldn't board the plane without it I freaked out a little bit and the lady at the airport counter reprimanded me for it and I felt like a puppy with it's tail behind it's legs but they eventually dug out my bag and I got my passport! After all that we had to sit on the plane for 2 hours before we even took off due to the weather. The flight was awful I felt so anxious the whole time but we finally landed in Peru late last night and we've had orientation stuff all day today. For breakfast we had biscuits with jelly, butter and cheese it was simple but tasty. Our lunch came in 3 course with a veggie salad including peas, carrots, beets, Tomorrow I meet my host family, wish me luck :)
